Marcel Mulombo shares a request:
Dear friends, I am writing this to ask for your help. Your help to support people I know, people who saw me growing, people who went with me in primary school, people who were my neighbors in Uvira. These are brothers, sisters and friends who are affected by the flood during the night of 17 and 18 April 2020.
The city of Uvira is located in the South Kivu in DR Congo, neighboured with Bujumbura (Burundi), situated 125 km on the south of Bukavu in eastern DR Congo. Due to the flood, more than 3500 houses have been destroyed, 45 people died and more than 75 injured. Furthermore, the corona pandemic has put this city in a difficult humanitarian situation: the borders with Burundi and Tanzania are closed. Therefore, it is difficult for people to get the basic necessities. With your financial support these people will be able to put the food on the table, will be able to buy some clothes and cover some urgent needs. Whatever you can help with will be much appreciated. Marcel has raised $1000 so far. Let’s increase that number! Please contact kindnessvirus4@gmail.com for donation details if you are able to contribute.
